• Timber growled under his breath when more than forty minutes passed and Eva didn't appear. His heart was racing, his body tingling with the yearning to hold her in his arms again. Her scent still lingered in his mind and his body desperately wanted her.
• He screamed that she was his and she denied it, wanted to howl with frustration and rage. Eve did not belong to the human male, she was his. He remembered his friend Brute's words earlier that he was out of control and he knew Brute was right, though he just couldn't control his possessiveness when it came to Eva.
