- I wanted to believe him. I wanted to trust in his love, in the idea that everything would be okay. But deep down, I knew that wasn’t true. I was dangerous, and if he stayed with me, he would get hurt, Eve would use me against him, she knew my weakness and she would exploit it, it wasn't possible to deny her what she want, though I had resisted far a long time, but what happens when she comes back for me again.
- I couldn’t stop crying, even as Silvio held me close, His hands warm against my skin, his heartbeat steady and strong. Everything about him was so sure, so confident. I wished I could match that. I wished I could be as certain as he was, but I wasn’t. My whole life had been built on a lie, and now, that lie was threatening to unravel.
