• I let out a groan as my eyelids slowly opened. My body felt weighed down, as if a heavy burden rested on my chest. Nearby, I could hear voices, their tones soft and calming.
• “She will be fine, I assure you. All she needs is this in the morning and these at night,” a voice gently stated from my left.
• Feeling disoriented, I blinked several times, attempting to comprehend the dimly lit surroundings. My thoughts were sluggish. I turned my head slightly and noticed two figures hovering over me. One was Helen, her face pale with concern, her gaze fixed on me with an intensity that made my heart race.
