Chapter 24 Playing Chess

• I gazed at her. She looked so broken while she talked about Eve, I could see the pains in her eyes.
• I couldn't bring myself to comfort her as she wept; I knew she had been holding this in for a long time, to cry this much.
• “She deceived me. She told me that Max didn’t want my baby and wanted me to terminate the pregnancy. I believed her, but I refused. I told her I would work hard to raise the child as my own, and she agreed. But when I put to bed, she took my child away, and I haven’t seen him in over a year. She sent me here to spy on Silvio, and on top of that, she keeps my child from me. I’ve never held my baby in my arms, nor have I seen him. All she does is send me pictures of him every month to keep me here,to threaten me” she cried out, and by the time she finished, I knew she had broken into another round of sobs.
