• Silvio remained silent as he guided me to my room and left me there. I knew he was mad at me, but I loved that he didn’t question me, and only left me there to be on my own.
• I understood that my actions today would raise many questions, and for the first time, I felt scared, scared of the situation I had put myself in.
• My anger had surfaced, and I had ended up hurting a woman old enough to be my mother. Now, her son had sworn to kill me, and worse, Eve would surely be furious with me and might reveal my true identity.
