• Xavier POV:
• My worst fears were becoming reality before my very eyes. I had felt like it would only be a matter of time before the humans found out vampires were the ones committing the recent murders. I hoped it wouldn't come to that.
• If they found out vampires were real, which they now had, they would start to wonder what other supernatural creatures might be real. This was a total fucking disaster. For decades, these bloodsuckers remained in hiding, no doubt feeding just the same. Now suddenly, one slipped up.
