• Xavier POV:
• I was fifteen when I went on my first hunt with my dad. An Echidna, a half-woman half serpent creature, was preying on humans and leaving a string of bodies in her wake.
• She had struck my father with her tail, sending him flying through a window. I realized fighting her in wolf form would not stop her easily, so I changed. I waited until the other wolves created an opening, and then I buried a wooden spike through her heart.
