• Ruby POV:
• The room I was given was more like a broom closet, but nothing I wasn't used to. For the past few months, I'd been dealing with worse, anyway. The tiny bed against the wall was surprisingly comfortable, but still, I couldn't sleep.
• One of Presley's teams in the field was killed by vampires, so the Queen's attack was delayed. Fortunately, it gave Xavier and Axel time to work with Presley's men, so they could become familiar with working alongside humans and vice versa. Tensions weren't as high as they were when we initially arrived. Even though I still got the odd curious or hateful stare, I felt less bothered by them.
