• Two wolves walked by me and nodded their greeting, but their brows were furrowed in curiosity. No doubt, they were wondering why I was grinning like a damn idiot.
• From the moment those three words had left Ruby's lips yesterday, I hadn't been able to stop smiling. However, that wasn't the only thing I had to be happy about. Everyone was in high spirits, the air thick with the smell of hope. A few hours after Ruby had mind linked with all the wolves, some of them had found us. By dusk more arrived, and now, at midday the following day, another pack of forty-five wolves arrived.
