Chapter 6

  • Alessandro POV:
  • “Lydia is absolutely unreasonable!” I gritted my teeth and cursed.
  • First, she took Lilia away from me, forcing me to pretend to love her for so long.
  • And then she wanted to kill Lilia, sending her to prison!
  • I shouldn’t have been soft-hearted in the beginning, letting someone go to the prison to deliver supplies to her. I should have killed her. Then today, Lilia and I wouldn’t have been so embarrassed!
  • Not to mention, at the wedding, Lydia was mingling with other men!
  • What right does she have to say anything to me?
  • “Alright, Alex, don’t be angry,” Lilia patted my back. “Lydia wasn’t willing in the first place, so it’s normal for her to be mad. Didn’t you say you wanted to take me to meet your grandfather? Let’s go now.”
  • Compared to Lydia, Lilia is much gentler.
  • But being with her, my wolf Parker can’t help but want to pounce on Lilia.
  • My lovely destined partner.
  • I couldn’t help but squeeze Lilia’s hand, nodding with a smile.
  • As we got into the car, thinking about that eccentric grandfather of mine, I couldn’t help but remember a past incident.
  • Back then, I was often bothered by Lydia, she even demanded to meet my family.
  • I had no choice but to take her to see George.
  • But that woman, as soon as my grandfather George saw her, she was kicked out. It was ridiculous!
  • “Alex, do you think grandfather will not like me?” Lilia asked nervously.
  • I squeezed her hand reassuringly, “Don’t worry, Lilia, I like you, and my grandfather will like you too.”
  • Soon, we arrived at where George lived.
  • He looked so old, lying in bed being taken care of by a nurse.
  • I had to lean in and say to George’s ear, “Grandfather, I brought my wife to see you.”
  • George’s cloudy eyes visibly cleared up, looking very happy.
  • I breathed a sigh of relief and pulled Lilia closer.
  • Lilia softly said, “Grandfather, hello, I’m Lilia.”
  • George affectionately took Lilia’s hand, pulling her even closer.
  • Watching this heartwarming scene, I couldn’t help but smile, but the next moment, George bit Lilia’s face hard and screamed, “Bitch, bitch!”
  • “Where is Lydia?! Did you kill her? Get out, get out! Where is Lydia! Find Lydia for me!”
  • I panicked and rushed to support Lilia, “Doctor! George is out of his mind!”
  • Lilia’s pretty face was bitten by George, looking pitiful.
  • “Baby, it’s okay, it’s okay, you go with the doctor first.” I comforted the sobbing Lilia.
  • She blamed herself, “Alex, did I do something to make Grandpa angry?”
  • “No, George went crazy!” I let the doctor who gave George a sedative take Lilia to treat the wound.
  • My wolf, Parker, stared at George fiercely, “This old man, he’s about to die and still causing trouble!”
  • “I think you should teach him a lesson, kill him now!”
  • “Are you crazy! That’s our grandfather!” No matter how ruthless I am, I can’t harm my family.
  • But Parker smirked maliciously, “Remember what you did to Lydia back then, why can’t you be ruthless now! Didn’t you hear, George kept calling Lydia’s name just now, all of this must be her doing!”
  • “Old grudges, we can’t let Lydia be arrogant anymore!”
  • Parker kept instigating me, and I had to rely on my remaining sanity to ask the doctor about the relationship between George, Lydia, and me.
  • The doctor then remembered, “You mean that girl! She used to come over every day to take care of George.”
  • “You don’t say, Lydia was really attentive, she would do a lot of dirty work, and George’s condition improved a lot during that time, but then Lydia suddenly stopped coming, and George fell ill again.”
  • Lydia was taking care of George all along?
  • Why? Because he’s my grandfather?
  • How is that possible! She’s so malicious, how could she be so kind!
  • Not to mention, when faced with me and Lilia getting married, Lydia was indifferent, how could someone like that take care of a disabled old man out of love.
  • I convinced myself not to think about Lydia anymore and turned to find Lilia.
  • The doctor was giving her medicine, and Lilia’s pretty nose was wrinkled in pain.
  • My heart softened instantly, “Darling, how are you?”
  • Lilia immediately grabbed my hand and pleaded, “I’m fine, Alex, this has nothing to do with Lydia, don’t make things difficult for her. It’s all my fault…”
  • Parker and I suddenly felt protective.
  • He even bared his teeth and took a fighting stance, “We must teach Lydia a lesson, get a few men to rape her! Then use sulfuric acid to disfigure her! Let her beg for life and not be able to die!”
  • “Parker, you’re really vicious!” I teased with narrowed eyes, but agreed, “I will teach her a lesson!”
