Chapter 22 Let The Game Begin

• Aurora sprinted down the stairs when she heard the sound of the engine driving into the compound. She almost tripped and fell at the speed at which she was running. She had been at the window waiting for him to drive in, and when she eventually saw his car enter through the gate, she couldn't hold herself and came trodding downstairs.
• She had been gripped by the cold hands of fear ever since he left, and she couldn't wait to find out the state of Mateo—if he was alive or dead. Dread consumed her as she ran down.
• She was almost at the foot of the stairs when the door flung open and Mateo and Lorenzo walked in. Aurora ran faster towards Lorenzo and threw herself on him; tears streamed down her face as she stayed in his arms. Lorenzo’s hardened expression softened, and he subconsciously wrapped his arms around the little woman.
