Chapter 10 Make Them Pay

• Lorenzo walked menacingly into the centre room, with each calculated step he took; he brought fear to all present. When he got to where Aurora stood, he pulled her towards him and examined her cheek that Sandra had just slapped before tucking her under his arms. The cheek was slightly swollen; Lorenzo’s face twisted with rage at the sight of her swollen cheek. He dropped his hand from her face and turned to face the others in the room with his face devoid of any emotion.
• Daniel, Jenny and Jason all stood still in fear; they trembled slightly at what would become of their fate. Jenny, unable to withstand the intense gaze of Lorenzo, moved quietly to stay behind Jason.
• He had been in the room from the moment Daniel severed all ties with Aurora and he watched as the little woman, though broken, stood her ground. He would have stayed unnoticed if Sandra hadn’t slapped her. He saw the fire in her and was glad that no one could bully her but it still hurts him that her family is doing this to her.
