- "As you say, my Lord Dracula," one of the witches, the leader, bowed her head to say, then turned to face her sisters. "Let us begin the ritual. Bring the sacrifice into the marked circle."
- The vampires moved to drag me towards the circle, and I struggled against them, but they were too strong. They tied me down, spread-eagled, and I felt a sense of desperation wash over me.
