• "No, no, no, you can't please," I begged, my voice shaking with desperation. "Have mercy, please. It was because of me your life once spared once, please have mercy on us this once. I promise to do whatever you want. I promise to follow you, please just spare their lives." Tears streamed down my face as I pleaded with Henry, my heart breaking at the thought of losing everyone I loved.
• Henry's expression remained unyielding, his voice dripping with contempt. "Sorry, love, but I can't make the mistake you did. When you have a chance to kill the snake, you make sure to crush all the eggs it has laid, unless one day when you least expect one of them would come for you." He turned to face the vampires, his voice rising in command. "What are you waiting for? Why are they still alive?"
