Chapter 40

• "Excuse me?" Hera said, dropping the bottle of wine in her hand on the floor of the car. The lights were on, so she was able to see Advika's face. Although, it was almost midnight and everywhere outside was dark already, she didn't mind the lights of her car being on, despite knowing it might cause suspicion if a guard from her brother's mansion saw it. "You came all the way here in the middle of the night to tell me to stay away from your man? Really?" She added and scoffed at her. "Your man?" She stressed that sentence again as she used her hands to form an invisible quotation mark.
• "I don't care whatever you say, Hera. But I am warning you, stay away from Valentine." Advika said to her, facing her squarely.
• "Do you even hear yourself, Advika? Can you listen to yourself? You stooped so low and came all the way to confront me over someone that doesn't even want to be yours? Someone that doesn't want to be with you?" Hera asked and giggled at the thought of what she just said. She found it funny herself.
