Chapter 49
- Cole backed away, his attempts weak and desperate. “You're crazy.” His voice trembled, barely audible as he spat out another mouthful of blood. His face was nothing like it was a few minutes back. It was now a satisfying shade of red, purple and black with swells at different locations. “Fuck!” He groaned when he turned to the side.
- I pulled out a handkerchief from my pocket, calmly wiping the blood on my fist. “Disgusting.” The veins in my neck popped when I saw I had gotten some blood on my shirt. I'd have to burn it. Washing it wouldn't get rid of the filth.
- “I'll ask you one last time. What did you do to her?” I crouched down in front of him, resisting the urge to pound his face in again, and with how he glared at me when he was the one who assaulted my wife, the difficulty only increased.
