- The Cashier's smug expression crumbled, all colour draining from her face as Alice's words hung in the air like a death sentence. The salesgirls who had gathered earlier slowly backed away, relief washing over their faces before being replaced by pity as they glanced at the Cashier. The guards who had tried grabbing me earlier immediately scurried off.
- “What a joke!” Astrid scoffed, her fingers clenched into fists at her side. “She's nothing! You really expect me to believe she's your boss?” Her voice quivered, betraying her fear.
- Alice didn't even spare her a glance. She fixed her cold stare on the Cashier. “I assume you have a manager,” she said calmly. “Fetch them. Now.”
