- “Mum, are you okay?” Curtis asked, his voice laced with concern as he steadied his mother. His hands gripped her shoulders gently, but his gaze betrayed a deeper worry.
- “I’m fine,” she replied, her voice wavering slightly. But Curtis didn’t seem convinced. His hands lingered, his worry evident in the way he watched her.
