• The moon in the night sky was high, the clouds were nowhere to be found and the icy-cold wind swept the dried leaves of the forest floor. Everyone in Bresmont was tucked comfortably in their beds. Only the soldiers who were stationed at the borders were awake and alert.
• Veronica padded through the muddy floor of the Dark forest. She was looking from behind her, making sure that no one was following her.
• Her heart was raging inside her chest, not only from fear that someone might see and recognize her, but also from fury.
