Chapter 37
- The chirping of the birds from the opened window woke Ember from her deep slumber. With her eyes half-closed, she covered her face using her hands to block the sun’s rays that went through the curtains of the window.
- She knew she was not in her own room, the smell of the pillows differed from hers and this room was much more huge than hers. The windows are much bigger and the sunrise was visible from where she lay in bed.
- The moment she rolled her body to face the other side, Ember immediately felt the pain that assaulted the middle part of her body. Immediately, her eyes flew open and when she tried to sit, she winced again in pain.
