Chapter 9 You're The One Who Doesn't Love Me

  • "Celica, you're not worthy of being the Luna of the Snowwolf Pack. Leave, now!" Genevieve's eyes were filled with fury. Her wolf was starting to show, as if it wanted to tear apart this despicable woman.
  • Charlotte quickly intervened, seeing Genevieve getting angry. "Calm down, Mrs. Hyde. You don't need to have your wolf attack someone like her. It will ruin your reputation among the pack."
  • She sounded like she cared about Genevieve, but she was already making Celica an enemy. Charlotte knew that by doing this, Nathaniel would soon belong to her.
  • Despite Genevieve's orders, none of the servants dared to do anything to Celica. Celica crossed her arms, giving them a challenging look.
  • Since no one dared to move, Genevieve approached Celica herself. "They might be scared of you, but I am not. I will cleanse the pack of an adulterous, promiscuous woman like you." She thought to herself, "The pack doesn't need a she-wolf that betrays her mate."
  • Genevieve, despite being nearly fifty years old, didn't hesitate when she attacked. Feral fury filled her eyes, and she wished to tear Celica apart, but she held back the urge to bite. Instead, she toppled the paint onto Celica. The colors merged into a blob of black and drenched Celica's white dress.
  • In the past, Celica would have quietly gone upstairs to change, but things were different now. She picked up the water she was using to clean her brush and splashed it at Genevieve. The water also got onto Charlotte, drenching her dress in black. Charlotte clenched her teeth in fury.
  • Her eyes were filled with rage, and Charlotte could feel the wolf inside her bubbling with anger. It was roaring, "Tear her apart! She must die!" If she weren't trying to stay composed, she would have torn that woman apart.
  • The paint smeared Genevieve's face. She spoke, but her voice was shaking with fury. "How dare you, Celica? I am the Alpha's mother in this pack. I am revered!"
  • Celica looked at Genevieve sharply. She replied coldly, "If you want my respect, then you have to respect me first."
  • Genevieve had treated Celica worse than a servant for the past year. If Genevieve had been calmer, Celica would have taken the insult quietly, but reality taught her a harsh lesson. The more she relented, the more she would be insulted.
  • "You're talking back to me? I-I will tear you apart!" Genevieve, feeling the weight of her age, experienced a sudden surge in blood pressure. Just as she was about to pounce on Celica, she staggered backward and collapsed.
  • "Are you alright, Mrs. Hyde?" Charlotte quickly held Genevieve. She scolded, "How could you, Celica? You're going to give her a heart attack at this rate!"
  • Celica snorted in disdain, thinking, "Heh, she's not a top celebrity for nothing. She can act." "No cameras around, so drop that soppy, B-rated, trashy tragic moment acting."
  • Furious, Charlotte's eyes turned red. She was holding Genevieve, so she didn't say anything out of line. If she acted too much, she would make herself unlikable.
  • And then the sound of an engine came from the courtyard. Then, the engine fell silent.
  • Charlotte couldn't help but think, "Oh, Nathaniel's back. That's great! I'm going to act like I'm the biggest victim when he comes in. And then I'll show him what Celica did to us. She made Mrs. Hyde mad. Even the strongest Alpha has to care about his mother. He would never allow anyone to treat his mother rudely. If a powerful Alpha can't even protect his mother, it would be a scandal if it got out." She was sure he would take their side.
  • Firm footsteps echoed through the air. The man looked at the exhausted women and frowned. "What are you ladies doing?"
  • Genevieve looked at her son, thinking, "He's back. I have someone to help me now." "Nathaniel, Celica has gone mad. She attacked me! If she stays in our pack, we're done for!"
