Chapter 6

  • Nina’s Point of View
  • “I got your prescriptions. Are you ready to go?” Blake asked as he walked into the room with a wheelchair.
  • “Um, yeah,” I replied.
  • “Get on, Blake said as he gestured to the wheelchair.
  • “I can walk. You don’t have to push me in that,” I said.
  • “It’s either this or I carry you. You decide,” Blake replied.
  • “Fine, I will get in the wheelchair,” I said as I walked over to the wheelchair and sat down. Blake bent down and moved some hair from my face. I looked at him, shocked.
  • “I would have rather carried you,” Blake said, and I was sure I was red as a tomato. Blake chuckled before speaking again. “You are so innocent.”
  • Once we got outside, there was a limo waiting by the entrance. I had never been in a limo. Blake pushed me to the limo and helped me out of the wheelchair while the driver opened the door for us. I got in, and then Blake followed. Once we were in, the driver closed the door and went to the driver’s side.
  • Blake and I didn’t talk for most of the ride. I looked out the window at the houses and people we passed. We passed the Silvermoon High School. I was in my senior year of High School. Even though I was treated like a slave, Alpha Marcus had to let me go to school because of werewolf law.
  • About ten minutes after leaving the Pack Hospital, we arrived at the Eclipse Packhouse. It was way bigger than the Midnight Packs. I wasn’t shocked because The Eclipse Pack was the second best pack in the world. They had way more people than most. The only pack that beat them was the Royal Pack. I was afraid the members of the Eclipse Pack wouldn’t like me because I was weak.
  • “We have arrived, Alpha,” The driver said.
  • “You can leave us,” Blake said, and the driver got out of the limo. Blake put his hand on mine, and I looked at him to see he was already looking at me.
  • “I can tell you are worried about something. What’s on your mind?” Blake asked.
  • “Everyone in my old Pack hated me. I got bullied all the time. I am worried I won’t fit in here,” I said.
  • “I understand why you are worried but you don’t have to be. No one here will mistreat you. I would never let that happen,” Blake said and I could tell he was telling the truth.
  • "There was something else I wanted to talk to you about before we walk inside," Blake said.
  • "What do you want to talk to me about?" I asked.
  • "I know you can't feel the complete mate bond like I can right now but I know you can feel something. I could tell when I touched you yesterday," Blake said.
  • "Yes, I can feel something,"I replied.
  • "So you can tell we are mates, right?" Blake asked.
  • I feel something when we touch and I know that is a sign of finding someone's mate so yes, I believe we are mates," I replied and Blake smiled. "But, I want to take this slow. We don't know each other and you are an Alpha. I know that if we get closer and you decide to reject me..." Before I could finish my sentence Blake growled causing me to flinch.
  • "I am sorry, Nina. I didn't mean to scare you. I just don't like that you think I would reject you," Blake said.
  • "I am not as strong as you. People might think that I am not good enough to be your mate. I don't want you to be embarrassed," I said.
  • "You think I am embarrassed of you?" Blake asked.
  • "I am not a normal wolf. I don't have the strength or senses as other werewolves. My wolf is very small. Why wouldn't you be embarrassed of me?" I asked.
  • "I am not embarrassed of you and you are not as weak as you think you are." Blake said and I stayed silent.
  • “I know you have been through a lot because Alpha Marcus but that is over now. No one will ever hurt you again and I will never leave you. You will learn that you are stronger than you think," Blake said and I just smiled. "I understand that you want to take things slow but you know I am an Alpha and it will make me weak to be away from you. So, I was hoping that we could spend time together getting to know each other and that you would stay on the Alpha floor with me."
  • "You want me to stay with you?" I asked.
  • "We don't have to stay in the same room but please stay on the floor with me. I want to be close to you and also it will make me feel better knowing that you are safe. I trust my pack but I still would like you close. Plus, It will give us a chance to get to know each other," Blake said. I knew that it was harder for Alphas to be away from their mate. The higher the rank the harder it was on them. It could make him weak if I wasn't with him.
  • "Okay, I agree, but I do want my own room," I replied and Blake smiled.
  • "Great. Are you ready to go in now? Blake asked and I nodded. “Okay, let’s go,” Blake said and we got out of the limo. I was shocked when Blake took my hand. I still couldn't get over those pleasurable sparks that went through my hand when he touched it. We went to an elevator that said Alpha's family. He scanned his finger and the elevator opened. Once inside he pressed the only button which was the fourth floor. Once the door opened we were in a living room.
  • "Let me take you to your room," Blake said.
  • "Okay," I replied. We went up the steps to the second floor and down the hall to the last room.
  • "Blake your back. Let's..." I was shocked when I saw a naked she wolf lying on the bed.
