Chapter 26

  • The plane ride to Knoxville, Tennessee, was excruciating for the shy, tortured women. Anna kept insisting that she could stay at a hotel, but Fallon was adamant they stay at his home, and Luka wasn’t going to let her back out. She needed to face Fallon and get used to being around him. The brothers of Fight Core let her hide for too long and, frankly, they didn’t understand what she was afraid of. Fallon was a big softy under his rough exterior, and he was the first person they’d choose to trust her with.
  • When they finally pulled up at Fallon’s house, she was amazed at the beauty of the rustic estate. The Rockwell house in Louisiana was nice, but nothing like this. A beautiful mansion with brick and a hint of the old country charm made it look inviting. Rustic and manly, sitting on a stunning lake was exactly as she expected of the rugged biker.
  • Rolling down the window, Anna let the wind blow through her long hair with a hum. She loved the country and being here felt comfortable and safe. The smell of the water from the glistening lake reminded her of her days as a child on the river with her family. As the sun hit her face, she took in the smell of the outdoors as if she was an inmate just being released from prison.
