• “Well, Luka. I-I… God, how do I say this? I have feelings… I just couldn’t go there. Not with her and him together.” She looked up at Luka, knowing by his eyes he understood what she was trying to say.
• Seeing the tears fill her eyes, he rubbed her back, trying to calm her. “You like Fallon, huh?”
• She shook her head, affirming. “Yes. For years now. Stupid right? I fell for a guy I never met. I just saw him on TV and drooled over him like a teenager lusting over a boy band. I’m such an idiot. He was with his wife, Celeste, and they seemed so in love. I felt so heartbroken for him when she passed away. The truth is, I was jealous of her until I saw they had those girls, then I had nothing but respect. They really are great people. He must be devastated over losing her.”
