• “Yes, you can.” Lucian walked to her bag, pulling out a rhinestone veil out of her mask bag. “Here, put this one on. It looks good on you. You don’t have to show them your face right now. I know you’re still a little scared about that. Tonight, we are all just friends having a good time. I know for a fact you won’t go back in there without this, so let me help you tie it on, and let’s go in there together, okay? Simone and I are right by your side. Don’t worry. Besides, he’s going to love you.”
