Chapter 92
- Ethan was in their room, pacing restlessly. His mind wouldn’t stop racing, wondering what could possibly be happening downstairs between Alex and that mysterious lady. Something about her didn’t feel right, he could sense it deep within him. The unease gnawed at his chest, and he knew if he didn’t find out what was going on, his worry and curiosity might drive him insane. He took a deep breath, steadied himself, and finally left the room.
- Meanwhile, Alex and Catherine were seated in the living room. Catherine sat across from Alex, her hands fidgeting nervously as she toyed with her fingers. The silence between them was heavy, awkward, and suffocating. Alex hadn’t said a word since they came inside, and Catherine could feel the weight of his cold stare pressing down on her. To ease the tension, she spoke first, her voice soft and hesitant.
- ''It’s been years, Alex. How have you been?''
