• ''You don’t have to do this, Catherine.'' Alex said gently as he handed her the chopping board and some onions.
• ''It’s fine. At least this is better than doing nothing. I can’t just sit around all day doing nothing—I’m not a vegetable.'' Catherine replied as she slowly began peeling the skin off an onion.
• ''The doctor advised you to rest.'' Alex reminded her, trying to persuade her. He knew Catherine had no kitchen skills, and watching her peel the onion made him nervous. He didn’t want her to cut herself.
