• Morning sunlight streamed through the curtains, filling the room with a soft, golden glow. Ethan slowly opened his eyes, still feeling sleepy. As he lay there, his mind tried to piece together the events of the previous night. Things felt blurry, but one thing was clear—Alex had been with him.
• Turning his head, he glanced at the other side of the bed. Empty.
