Chapter 45

• Following Daniel to some distance, I smiled sheepishly when I saw his other friends came around. There were about five of them. Four cool guys like him and a lady with blonde wavy hair and amber eyes. Derek's eyes met mine and he raised his brows, wondering what I was doing with them. I smiled back at him, my eyes glinting with assurance. I'll do just fine.. I guess I just need to hang out with new friends. Besides, he wasn't giving me the attention I needed, so why is he suddenly so interested in my whereabouts?
• “So everyone, meet Isabel.” Daniel introduced me to his friends as I took a seat, my eyes staring at each of their faces..
• “Oh hi! Isabel…Nice name and nice to meet you.. I'm Anthony,” Daniel's friend, one with spiky brown hair and cute green eyes like Derek introduced as he brought his hand for a shake.
