Chapter 10

• “O.M.G! Derek is here! He's here!” I heard the girl's squeal as soon as he alighted from the taxi. I was so glad I'd gotten down before they saw him. Only the moon goddess knows what they would have been thinking if they had seen us together.
• "Good morning, Derek. It's nice to see you once again. I need you to sit next to me in class today, please.”
• Matilda spoke with her arms encircling Derek. She is my worst bully, and I've been making every effort to get away from her. I glanced back at them, and to my relief, they were unaware that Derek and I had just arrived in the same taxi.
