Chapter 14
- The next morning was a Saturday, and my mother had gotten up early to prepare for a shopping trip with Mr Walter. They were both planning on purchasing some stuff for their upcoming wedding ceremony. When I hear them talk about it, my heart breaks and I feel bad since there should be nothing that should cause their separation. I could see their love for each other. Derek's plan to inform his father about us being mated made me brood all night. Though I hadn't given him permission, I still felt he shouldn't tell anyone about it. It will break my heart to see our parents break up just because we are mates.
- “How do I look?” My mother asked as soon as I came into her room. She was in a black sheath gown and wedge shoes. She held a plush black purse in her hand and gently placed an eyeglass on top of her lovely blonde hair. She was moderately perfumed as usual, and the wedge shoe made her appear taller than she actually was.
- "Isabel.." She called, snapping me out of my daydream.
