Chapter 18

• After my mother left with her friends, I let out a loud sigh, a tremendous sense of relief pouring over me. I've successfully disguised the mark from her, but I'm anxious since she'll suspect me every time I put a scarf over my neck.
• Because the mark was on the right side of my neck– letting my hair down was the greatest option for concealing it, but I'm not the sort that enjoys letting my hair down. When I'm at home, I usually wear my hair in a ponytail, but now I'll have to get used to having it fall out. I had no idea it would be so difficult to mate with my own step-sibling.
• Sliding my fingers into my hair, I exhaled deeply once again before falling flat on the bed.
