• It felt like forever to close from work and when it was finally time, I packed up and headed straight to Ann's ward. She had been alone the whole day and I only got to check on her randomly, unable to spend time with her.
• My phone rang as I approached the ward, so I paused and checked. It was Asher. Was he here to pick me up? It couldn't be that because he knew that I would be spending the night here with Ann.
