• "Have you heard yet?" Ann asked with no remorse as she tucked her hair behind her year proudly, the corner of her lips twitched into a smirk. Ashley had been seated in front of her for minutes in the restaurant, waiting for her to spill why she invited her over but she was yet to speak up.
• "Why did you call me here, Ann?" Ashley asked, trying hard not to yell at her. Even after all the pain this bitch had caused her, she still couldn't imagine herself being harsh on her. She loved Ann so much with everything in her that she could lay down her life to protect her, and even after the betrayal, it was still difficult to hate her. She had tried hard to hate her but it never worked.
• Ann breathed in briefly then opened her handbag and brought out a brown file. She dropped the file on the table and pushed it to Ashley's front.
