Chapter 53

Jason saw the look on Maya's face when she grabbed her phone. The atmosphere around them suddenly went sour, he hasn't seen that look on her face before, just few minutes ago she was all excited and now her countenance reduced drastically.
"Hey babe, what's the problem?" Jason asked as he held Maya's hand firmly, he would have sworn he saw tears forming in her eyes, he couldn't take it anymore, he hated to see her that way as he has vowed never to see tears in her eyes except it was tears of joy.
He took the phone from Maya who was still lost in thought, and fear was evident on her face. The thought of anything happening to his son feared her the most, she couldn't forgive herself if any harm comes to her son. Her son is her world and more.
