Chapter 31

• It was the weekend and the sun was shining brightly, Jason had gone to pick Jayden up so that he could introduce him to his grandparents. He had informed Maya and Jayden earlier that he was coming. He walked into Maya's mansion and he saw some of his men watching over her house, he was impressed as they were indeed doing their job. They all bowed their head and greeted him respectfully as he moved towards the entrance of the house, deep down he knew he should have told Maya the reason for his hostility years back, that he lost his ex-fiancee a week before their wedding, just maybe she would forgive her easily but he waved off that thought from his head as he assumed it didn't matter right now, he doesn't want to guilt-trip her into loving him, he wanted everything to play out naturally.No pressure.
• Shortly after he entered the house, he heard footsteps coming down the stairs and he turned to see Jayden running towards him with a smile on his face."Daddy, Daddy" he called out, jumping into his arms. Jason hugged him tightly, a surge of smile plastered on his face as he held his little boy closer to him. He looked over at Maya, who was standing at the bottom of the stairs, her eyes softened as she watched the scene, she once again regretted why she kept Jayden away from his father, the little boy was overwhelmed having his father around him
• "Mommy come, why are you standing there, Come say hello to Dad, "Jayden remarked as he joyfully ran to his mother, who in turn carried him and moved closer to Jason, They both sat down on the couch as Maya didn't know what to say
