Chapter 17 Distant Memory

• Immediately after the wedding ceremony, the festivities continued in the villa's grand reception hall. Samantha basked in the flood of well-wishes and congratulations, while Morgan silently endured the pain within. Nearly everyone celebrated his marriage with joy, but a few were burdened with sadness—Aurora, himself, and his best friend Declan.
• "Alpha, are you alright?" Declan asked, with much concern in his voice.
• Morgan heaved a deep sigh as he poured some wine into his glass. He felt his heart was aching.
