Chapter 10 A Mother's Plea

• Aurora stood outside the grand doors of the Alpha's chambers, her heart pounding as she tried to calm the rising anxiety within her. The guards, tall and menacing, blocked her path, their arms crossed over their chests. She could feel their disdainful glares as they eyed her, a lowly omega, with little regard. But Aurora was like a mother to Lilian so she had to help her at any cost.
• "Please," Aurora begged, her voice trembling but firm, "just give me a few minutes to speak with the Alpha. It’s important."
• One of the guards sneered, not even bothering to hide his contempt. "The Alpha doesn’t have time to listen to someone like you. You’re wasting your breath, Omega."
