With Diane's gaze locked onto that figure, it felt like time had stood still for her. After some time, that figure started to make his way over to her. Although it was only merely tens of days since they last saw each other, she felt like a century had passed. It felt so long to the point that she felt slightly uncomfortable as she watched him approaching her.
As Christopher's face grew clearer with each step he took, Diane's heartbeat became faster as well. She stood there, her body turning slightly stiff. Never once did she take her eyes off him as she watched him, after going through the steel door, walking closer to her. The light above her grew dimmer and dimmer until as dark as the expression he wore.
