Chapter 377 A Moving, Glowing Figure

  • Diane was stunned by the sudden question thrown in her direction. Her eyes were opened so wide that they nearly looked like full circles. This guy… Old Mr. Jensen… It's my first time meeting him. We don't know each other well enough to talk about these things, do we? He's not making assumptions just because I showed up with his son, right? Gosh, this is ridiculous.
  • Wilcox saw how awkward Diane seemed, and his handsome face darkened as he shot Stephen a glare. "What's up with you, Dad? Watch your attitude." They were father and son, but they spoke more like they were siblings. Wilcox didn't bother to hold himself back when he was talking to Stephen, and Stephen wasn't the sort of man who'd use his seniority as power over others. When Stephen heard what his son said, he blushed and looked away before clearing his throat and giving Diane an apologetic look. "I'm sorry. I… Well, I… I thought Wilcox had brought his woman to meet me," Stephen explained.
  • The atmosphere in the room seemed even more awkward than before. "You got it all wrong, Old Mr. Jensen." Diane forced a smile onto her face, and Wilcox turned around to gaze at her. "Don't mind him. He's always been like that. He's been increasingly out of it ever since he quit his job as the president of the company," Wilcox explained. Diane nearly burst out in laughter upon hearing the man's words.
