Chapter 17 Dirty Laundry

• That morning, Diane left the house without having breakfast after exchanging a few words with Christopher. She arrived at the office on the dot after being stuck in traffic on her way there.
• Then, she sat down at her desk and arranged some of her things before heading to the pantry to make herself some tea. As she approached the door, she overheard several staff members having a hushed conversation inside.
• “Did you hear about this? Diane from the First Planning Department is a homewrecker—she took advantage of Miss Mayfair’s pregnancy and tried to have an affair with her husband. Word has it that she even visited their house when Miss Mayfair wasn’t around and stripped right in front of Mr. Adler. Sadly, Mr. Adler wasn’t interested and even kicked her out!”
