- Elzar, who had been silently observing all this time, finally glanced at Dalia. Her gaze was filled with unease, and her hands were clasped tightly together as if trying to suppress a fear that was threatening to overflow. Without hesitation, Elzar reached for one of her hands and held it gently. His touch was warm, attempting to convey the calmness he knew Dalia desperately needed at that moment.
- The doctor standing beside the bed didn’t immediately answer the unspoken question. He lowered his gaze, carefully touching Amara’s forehead before checking her pulse. Time seemed to move slower for Dalia, each passing second adding to the weight in her chest. Finally, the doctor turned to them and spoke in a calm voice.
