Chapter 14 - A Reversed Attack

• “Oh my, darling, how did you ever end up with an ex-wife like this?” the woman asked in a deliberately playful tone, her eyes sweeping Dalia from head to toe with a disdainful glance.
• The man beside her—none other than Dalia’s ex-husband—smirked cynically, seemingly savoring the moment. “Gracie, I didn’t actually want to be with her. At the time, I just needed someone to take care of me and the house, so... I had no choice but to marry her,” he replied, his tone dripping with contempt.
• He let out a small laugh and continued, “Anyway, it doesn’t matter why I was with her before. What’s important is that I’ve left her now. Turns out she’s not a good woman.”
