- Suddenly, a strong hand rested on her back, steadying her. The unexpected touch jolted her, nearly making her lose her balance. Their eyes met—a moment of silence stretched between them. Elzar, seeing how fragile she was, guided her back to her feet with a firm yet gentle hold.
- A nurse’s voice broke the stillness. “Ms. Dalia, has the payment been arranged? We need to proceed with further treatment tonight, as the patient’s condition is worsening.”
