- Dalia sat quietly in Amaranth’s hospital room. Just a few hours ago, Amara had been moved from the ER to a private room, and now it was just the two of them. Dalia’s eyes were fixed on her daughter’s small, fragile body lying weakly on the bed.
- “Amara, you have to get better,” Dalia whispered softly, her voice trembling but resolute. Her hand clasped Amara’s tiny fingers tightly, as if she could transfer all her strength and love into her child. “Mommy will do anything for you!”
- Tears rolled down her cheeks, but she didn’t bother wiping them away. Her gaze remained steady, filled with love and hope, as she looked at Amara’s pale face.
