- Dalia stared at the tightly shut Emergency Room doors, each passing second weighing heavily on her chest. The silence in the air only made the anxiety more unbearable. Will Amara be okay? she wondered, her voice barely audible—even though she knew the answer was still far from reach.
- Elzar, sitting calmly beside her, took a deep breath. His brows furrowed slightly, as if trying to contain the storm raging within him. With a voice steadier than he felt, he finally spoke.
- “The doctors have done their best,” he said, attempting to offer reassurance despite the turmoil in his own heart. “Now, all we can do is wait.”
