Chapter 51 New Clue

• Aleksander and Rania hurried toward the direction of that voice, finding an officer standing in front of a small table in the corner of the room, on top of which lay a phone that appeared deliberately left behind. The flashlight they carried illuminated dust floating in the room's air, creating an atmosphere so gripping amid the disappointment still clearly felt from the previous rescue operation's failure. Every corner of that old room looked so foreign, filled with shadows that moved every time the flashlight beam swept across the rusted wall surfaces.
• "Whose phone is this?" Aleksander asked, picking up the phone carefully using gloves quickly handed to him by one of the forensic officers.
• "We haven't checked it yet, sir," the officer answered. "But it seems deliberately left to be found."
