Chapter 32

• Lily found it hard to put her thoughts in one place. Her mind went everywhere. Alexia, Dylan, Mum, everyone. She looked around her room and sighed. A lot has been happening in their family and it was beginning to get to her. Alexia's abduction coupled with Dylan's return and her mother's anger against her, it felt like the universe was working against her.
• She glanced at the table clock and saw that it was a little after midnight and here she was, lost in thoughts when she should be asleep and preparing for the new day. She groaned and hit her bed, frustrated and wishing all her problems could disappear into the wind and never return.
• She stopped when she heard a knock on the door. She pretended to not have heard the first time but when the knock came on the second time, she had to answer.
