Chapter 29

• Dane drove into the house late in the evening. The sound of his car was not loud enough to make his presence known and that was exactly what he wanted because despite spending the whole day in Ciara’s arms, he wasn’t at peace with himself.
• Every minute he spent kissing and touching Ciara felt like torture. He trid to stop himself from wishing he was at home with Alexia but he couldn’t. He felt guilty and Dylan’s words nagged at his mind so he didn’t want to encounter anyone at the moment. Instead, he wished he could erase all that happened during the day and go back to Alexia’s arms without feeling guilt.
• He thought of going to his room but somehow it felt like his body could no longer accept the torture of being away from Alexia for another minute so with guilt and displeasure in his heart, he traced his steps to Alexia’s room.
