Chapter 28

• Two days after their car was ambushed, Lily was yet to step out of her room and this was beginning to make Alexia worried. She had given her space when they returned on the day of the ambush and thought to do the same the second day but this was the third day and Lily had not even left her room unlike Mrs Belmont who was slowly returning to her daily lifestyle.
• Alexia knew that Lily was worried but she hadn’t expected her to remain locked up in her room for two days so after much thinking, she decided to go check on her in her room.
• When she got upstairs to Lily’s room, she was surprised to see that the door was open which meant Lily had not left the room to even lock the door.
